It's now mid November and coming up fast to the 1st December 2023 when we hand over the reigns of the company toa new person in the Northampton area and they will carry on the same as I have done. They will be attending all the shows, but they will also advance to supplying the shops and mail order as they settle in to it.
I would like to take this oportunity to thank all of our customers who have supported us over the years, it has been real fun meeting you all and it will be the biggest thing I will miss when we finish. Thank you very much.
SOUTHERN MODELCRAFT was established by David and Marion Watts and started trading in 1978, which means we have been supplying modellers quality at an affordable price for 46 years.
Initially the business was aimed at developing, building and selling electronic components and the range included Chargers, both mains and 12 volt field versions and Field Box Control Panels.
From the beginning we attended trade shows, the first being the 1978 Woodvale Radio Control Scale World Championships, where we realized that there was an opening in the UK market for quality fuels, but at a budget price, which was an area that we already had some expertise in, so the seed was sown.
